Read on to find out what’s inside the 150th issue of Cakes & Sugarcraft.
That’s right, the February/March edition marks 150 issues of Cakes & Sugarcraft, with the first going on sale over 25 years ago. Over the years we’ve worked with hundreds of incredible cake decorators, many of whom have gone on to become sugarcraft superstars.
In this historic issue we’ve got projects from some of these long-standing contributors, as well as some new faces. They’re kicking off 2019 with a whole host of beautiful step-by-step tutorials you’ll be eager to try out for all your springtime celebrations. Have a go at simple figure modelling with a Valentine’s Day couple by Vicky Teather, celebrate Mother’s Day with Marianne Stewart’s meringue cake or create your own seasonal sugar flowers with Elena Wilkinson and Chelsea Prior.
If you’re looking to try out some new techniques in the New Year, we’ve got you covered. Learn how to make gelatine bubbles, create a textured finish on sugarpaste and make five styles of fabric flower.
We want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the magazine over the past 25 years. It’s been wonderful getting to know you all and sharing sugarcraft stories and know-how. We hope you enjoy this issue, and many more to come!
