At first glance this dress looks like a beautiful creation you might see sashaying down the catwalk at a wedding show – until it’s revealed that the lace is entirely edible.
The floor-length lace dress was the creation of Cakes & Sugarcraft contributor, Mark Tilling, assisted by Nicholas Tuser. The pair worked on the wedding dress for three days, carefully applying sheets of edible lace to the base dress beneath, which was made by talented seamstress, Sue Hodges.
Mark said, ‘Creating the dress was a nice challenge. The Squires Kitchen Instant Mix Flexi-Ice we used has stayed flexible for days, so much so that the dress is still wearable!’ The dress was displayed in Squires Kitchen’s flagship store in Farnham, Surrey, as part of a special wedding-themed display.
