Medieval Display in Bishop’s Waltham

Tuesday, March 24

42 students of sugarcraft teacher Lyn Pearce will display the results of their term’s work at a special event in Bishop’s Waltham in July.

Lyn Pearce sugarcraft flowers for Bishop

Lyn challenged her students, from beginners to experts, to recreate images of medieval times. They concentrated particularly on King Henry V, who is said to have stayed at Bishop’s Waltham Palace in July 1415 whilst recruiting troops for the Battle of Agincourt. Exquisitely crafted flowers of the medieval era will surround King Henry V’s coat of arms, a boar’s head and beautiful replica headdresses of the period.

The exhibits will be on display from 2pm till 4pm on Saturday 18th July at the Bishop’s Waltham Gardening Club’s 59th Open Annual Show, The Jubilee Hall, Little Shore Lane, Bishop’s Waltham, Hampshire, SO32 1ED. Contact Lyn Pearce on 07967 984484 or email for more information.
