Viktorija Siskova, a macaron queen

Introducing Viktorija Siskova, a wonderful woman with amazing macaron skills. An avid baker and Italian meringue macaron specialist – well, that's what we think anyway! And if her recent projects in Cakes & Sugarcraft are anything to go by, you will agree. Based out of her kitchen in Norfolk in the UK, Viktorija experiments with homemade and original Italian macaron and ganache recipes. For Viktorija, taste comes first and all her macarons are made with 100% love.



Viktorija baked her first batch of macarons back in 2016, but her full macaron baking journey began in 2017/2018. And since then, she's been addicted. In the beginning when she was starting out, she bought lots of macaron recipe books to help her better understand the process. However, they didn't answer all her questions, so she started researching macarons online and also watched YouTube videos. She then began experimenting in the kitchen herself.
Viktorija struggled with her macarons for a long time, but she was determined to learn every aspect of the whole process. She persisted even after having failure each day for almost a year. She is the epitome of a self-taught baker! She has learned the majority of things herself and, to this day, she continues to experiment in the kitchen with her macarons, ganaches and tart recipes. Over the years and through trial and error, she has achieved her own signature Italian macaron bake and style.



When it comes to macarons, Viktorija believes the most important thing is to understand how each ingredient can affect the final result, what the right consistency is, and using accurate measurements. Her main focus at the moment is on creating new recipes, experimenting with new techniques, preparing an online course and working on new projects!
Viktorija has been a regular contributor to Cakes & Sugarcraft magazine since 2020, and has been incredibly popular with its readership, through her fun, creative and easy-to-follow macaron tutorials. And there's lots more to come, so watch this space! Viktorija's on a roll!
