Modern Gingerbread by Sarah Monger aims to tap into the trend for contemporary gingerbread baking and decorating. In the book, acclaimed cake-maker Sandra showcases some original and creative gingerbread projects, varying from decorative gingerbread tiles and wreaths, to a traditional Norwegian kransekake crafted from gingerbread rings and stacked into a tower. She even provides her own take on a white wedding cake, which is unconventionally embellished with decorated gingerbread pieces.

Each of the 15 gingerbread projects included in this book are accompanied by useful guide templates. Sandra also offers useful advice on tools, materials and techniques, as well as recipes for traditional, coloured and vegan gingerbread.
